I have a 2003.5 AT sedan. I've been thinking about trading it in for either a 05 or 06 MT coupe. Not that this is going to change my mind about getting a coupe but, can someone please post the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for stock 05/06 MT coupes? I haven't been able to find them.

The reason I ask is because I just came from a Lexus dealership, checking out the IS350. Nice car, love all the techno stuff inside. The salesman was really pushing the 5.1sec 0-60. I was just wondering how much faster that car is than the G35c.

Car and Driver 0-60=5.1 sec
Motortrend 0-60= 5.6 sec
2006 Lexus Brochure 0-60= 5.6

I have always learned to never trust Car and Drivers performance numbers.

I do not know what the performance numbers are for the 05/06 G35C MT.

04 5AT = white coupe (z-tube + popcharger)

difference isnt in 0-60 with an 05 and 04.. we take off about the same.. its 3rd gear on thats a difference and at +100 u'll REALLy see the difference

where that camera is should be around 70-80mph

the camera is a regular photo camera.. so no zoom giving u guys a pretty good idea of the difference..

 

I wouldn't trust the CAR and Driver test results.

Road and Track say the IS 350 does 14.5 in the 1/4 mile.
5A = 14.4 - 14.6
6M = 14.0 - 14.2

 

IS 350 is supposed to do high 13's...

sadly, it is faster then the G...

but the 350 comes only in auto ...boring~

 

NO, the IS 350 is not supposed to do high 13's. Car and Driver is the only magazine that says it does high 13's. Every other magazine I've read says it's mid 14's.

 

thats weird if i was deciding on the IS350 or the G coupe.. my decision wouldnt be made on a .8 second difference from 0-60. i would just base my decision on looks and reliability, both have great engines so performance is already there.

spend a little more and get an m3

They also had the fastest 0-60 test for a G35 mt that I am aware of at 5.5
