Egg/fart smell
How many of your guys that get this smell run 87 octane? I bet you that's your problem. 87 octane will cause the smell when driving the car hard. Switch to 91 and you'll notice it less.
It's just the way the cars are.

It goes on when I have the ac or heat on for a while. Sometimes I smell it when I floor my car.

I changed gas and the problem disappeared. I was told that if the converter gets too 'poluted' with that incompatible gas residue, it may have to be replaced.
Try a few tankfuls of another brand of gas.

nyc has 93 octane, which is the one I use. I've had my car for over a yr. That smell comes and goes. I can't believe the brand of gas could actually cause a problem. I'm using bp gas. I guess I could try another brand and see if it gets rid of the smell.

I get a rotten egg smell when running the engine hard. The problem is the catalitic (sorry about the spelling) converter. This is not good since I am going to be ordering an 06 G35 coupe 6MT within the next month or so.
There is usually a condensation drain for A/C systems, you see it making
a puddle under cars parked with A/C running.
Maybe that drain hose is blocked/kinked, causing moisture to remain in the vent system, later it will degrade and smell bad ?

I had a similar smell omitting from my engine bay shortly after
servicing my vehicle...
Turns out the service employee left a pastry on the engine cover, which then
fell into the engine components and melted...
no joke...
