Plastic under front bumper

I have this plastic like extension under the front bumper of my G, I don't know what its called but it always scrapes when i turn into a driveway or something. Its not the front lip, its behind the front lip. Is that supposed to happen cause its pretty much inevitable at times.

that piece protects rocks and crap when you're driving. I scrape that everytime I go up my driveway. It's better than scraping your front bumper.. Almost every car has this. Just leave it.

The G will scrape all sorts of fun things. I avoid scraping it by pulling in on an angle or by sometimes just taking a detour. Often it’s unavoidable because your driving down something new. The handful of times I've hit it didn't appear to cause any real damage. Be really careful of parking stops; those can really screw it and the bumper up; just don't come even close to them.

I scrap mine every now and then in my driveway too and was concerned. Then I met a few folks here and one of them (Andy) told me that was the "warning track", and that it was designed (aside from rock protection that someone mentioned here - which makes sense) to let you know that you're gettine p r e t t y close to scraping the front lip. Kinda like your tire making lots of noise when it's about to need replacement.

IMO, you guys need to learn how to drive a dropped car. Either or start getting used to driving your G like one...

yeah, one thing it does is; it lets you know you have pulled up too far and also if you had a lower spolier you had just tore it up.
