Re: Auto VDC-Off kit not available *PICS* instructions

Might want to change the "not available" in your title to "now available".

Thanks for the info though.

How about my cheaper and cleaner mod......pull the fuse............then replace when if you need VDC?

As I understand it, doesn't the VDC not FULLY shut off even when the button is selected to do just that? Like a partial VDC cancel?

The question I have is: Do you lose ABS when you turn VDC off? I prefer VDC off, but would like to retain ABS.

I dont think it's a question of being lazy but a nice convience to have that damn thing turned off when you start the car. I always turn it off and between turning teh vdec off and agreeing to not kill myself with the NAV it gets a bit annoying. once in a while it would be nice to just get in the car and go without having to push all those damn buttons. not to mention the VDC button is in a sh*tty location. It's easy to miss if your in a hurry to get it off and hit the trunk release. All in all a good idea. I just spent a sh*t load of loot on a borla so I dont hink I will be getting one yet but hopefully they will be avaliable for a while cause I am interested.

its my understanding that pulling the fuse disables OTHER systems as well, not just the VDC

From page 5-22 of the 2003 G35 Sport Coupe Infiniti Owner's Manual:

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

If the vehicle is operated with the vehicle dynamics control system turned off, all VDC and TCS functions will be turned off. The brake LSD system and ABS will still operate with the VDC system off.

Geesh - You make me sound like such a fool. Thanks for looking it up, and thanks for the answer. I had hoped that was it.
