Anyone else getting tire pressure alerts lately with the temperatures beginning to fall lower? Mine bleeped at my yesterday morning, after having not driven the coupe for 3 days. Had to air up all four.

 

Yep - experienced the exact same thing. How much were your tires off?

 

Rule of thumg: Every 10 degrees change = 1 PSI

 

Good to keep in mind. But I think over the 4 months that I've had the car the bumps and travels must've contributed to more than a few pounds out of the tires. Had to add about 8 lbs all the way around.

 

Happens to me everytime the temp drops.

 

to me as well, added 9 pounds to each.

 

yea, it happen to me in southern cal. about 7-9 lbs. loss.

 

that long beep scares the hell out of me...

 

first cold morning, the beep scared the crap out of me, had lost 5lbs each on the fronts just two weeks into getting the car

 

same thing happened to me, but the warning went off after a few days before i got a chance to air up.

 

Mine had the long and scary low pressure too... should I air it up or just let it be? I checked pressure and it was around 35PSI for all of them...

 

LOL ME2...I thought something was wrong with my stereo at first. Good to have the alert though, especially with the 19's. Don't want to biff another rim!

 

Went off a couple weeks ago...checked the tires, and added a bit of air...I think this is a pretty common occurance with the colder weather...

 

Check the pressures regularly guys and gals.....with season changes, comes bug temp variations meaning big fluctuations in tire pressures.
It's worth it in the long run because good gas mileage and tire mileage is dependent on proper air pressure.

Had a problem with my loaner. Whenever it dropped below 66 degrees, the warning light would come on. I learned to ignore it.
