I would really like to know what the restaurant manager/owner/valet manager had to say about this.

Some of my friends use valet at a local bar and I think they are nuts.

They let a 20 year old kid getting paid $8/hour drive their car (M3/Porche/Z) a few blocks and park it. They drive around downtown in front of a lot of young people before they actually get to the parking lot. Sure they take a car for an occasional boot.

I keep my metal redline baseball bat in my car for those purposes...

It has BB's in the top of the barrel to make stuff go farther!

I'd high suggest this mod or the mod in my sig

Seriously- tho that really sucks- make them PAY

I can't believe anybody would valet park their car. Go elsewhere, public transportation, another drive, beater, etc. are all better. Valeting your G is just plain stupid.

Wow . . . That is quite a steep ticket for your repairs. I hope the restaurant management comes through for you and does the right thing. Good luck to you.

I got a Mazda 6 rental when I had my other car fixed. I didn't see what the hubbub was about that car. That car felt like it couldn't get out of it's own way when I was on the freeway on-ramp.

It is a strict rule of mine, never valet. The only time I will ever let someone valet my car is at my condo in Boston, they have to take the car down a ramp to be parked in an underground parking garage. Other than that, NEVER!

Man, sorry to hear that......that's a steep pricetag...not to mention the inconvenience.... , You must be pretty steamed.....

Good luck with that valet company...

...and everyone, Avoid valeting like the plague.

Valet in Vegas is free (and wildly convenient), so I just over-tip the guy and tell him not to move it more than ten feet. They comply. I think DiamondGCoupe got a pic of my car parked in THE premier spot at the Venetian when he was in town. SLK, M5, and my car in front of them both Other than that, I just won't do it.

At the Stratosphere, if you tip the valet enough, they'll park your car inside the hotel
