tire is leaking air, sigh, new tire or can i fix this?
i been wondering why my warning light for the tire pressure keeps going on and off for the past couple of months... i been airing my tires like every week, and the light keeps staying on...i washed my car the other week, and noticed this sizzling sound coming from one of my rear tires... i guess you can really tell if air is leaking when the tires are really wet. So is there a way i can easliy fix this without having to buy a brand new tire? I'm getting tired of airing my tire everyweek and it keeps getting flat....
bring it into a tire shop and have them inspect it.. if it's repairable, then get it down.. if not, you might just have to get a new tire..
either way, it's not safe to drive with a leaky tire.. get if fixed..

Sure, like David says, get it looked at man.....it could be a minor repairable leak.
If the leak is at the beading (where the rubber meets the rim), it may be due to dirt or rust......all that needs is a cleaning.
If the leak is a nail or glass type puncture in the tread area, and hasn't severely damaged the tire, that's repairable too-- BUT MAKE SURE THE TIRE COMES OFF AND IS REPAIRED PROPERLY FROM THE INSIDE! -- don't go for a patch/plug on the outside.--- It compromises the speed rating of the tire.
All this is dependant on whether the tire is worth saving.....if it's close to replacement time, then go that route.
G/L, and on new tires, consider a warranty to include road hazzard....It pays for itself in $$$$$, as well as in getting a good night's sleep.
