Let us know in the forum how it works out.Since we can always cancel our orders at the last minute, I will try the same thing when my car comes in. I will tell the dealer that I have a very similar car at another dealer for a lesser price. In actuality, there might be one in 04 with the price increases. I'll play it by ear. Anyway.. here are more details.
i live in central nj, 15 min from worlds largest infiniti dealer (they have letters all over bragging that they are #1). when i called smaller guy, he even said he could be a little flexible, and that was without prodding.

what i would do, if you want to squeeze a dealer, is do so on the 2nd or 3rd of the month, that is when they place orders. from their standpoint, they have nothing to lose. sometimes i think they can get shut out of allocation (or reduced) if it is for dealer stock. but if it is for customer, it is something else.

so, if they didn't order for me, they wouldn't even have ordered it. so, some profit is better than none.

when i said 1000 off, he spoke to mgr, then countered it. i said it is no brainer for him. he left again then asked how does he know i'm not playing games. i said i'd give deposit then and there and that is was no work for him.
