Car feels slower now!

When I added the 1/2" spacers from motordyne I felt no increase in power. I knew I wouldn't be able to feel an extra 7-8 ponies (if thats what it added), but there was always a hope....then I added the Z tube, I thought this was the biggest waste of money.

I was just hoping that my car would sound a little meaner, but it sounded the same. These 2 mods have been on my car for about 3 months now and tomorrow my car goes to a new owner so last week I had to remove my mods.

Driving to work the next day I hit the gas real hard to get in front of some traffic and noticed that the car didn't pull that hard and it was about 50 degrees outside. Walking to work I was wondering why my car felt so slow in this chilly weather and then it hit me that I unistalled my mods. That night i hit the gas a few times and the car felt much slower on the top end and very quiet.

I came to the conclusion that it is a lot harder to "feel" an increase in a few hp than to "feel" a loss in hp.

The gradual increase of the spacer and Z-tube wasn't as noticeable as the loss by removing them both at once.
So did you change your mind about the validity of both those mods?

Good discovery and well stated. In your situation, you did finally realized the benefits/gains. This should afford others a bit of helpful info in making their own decisions with regard to the mods mentioned.

Definitely, i think for the price it is worth it...it feels like it takes forever to get to redline now...weird

reset is good only until your ECU re-adapts to the environment.

It's psychosomatic. You know you're selling your G and you WANT it to be slower so that you won't miss your baby as much. j/k
