Oh man, I'm so excited. In a few weeks I'll be trading in my truck (2000 Dakota R/T Blown heh) for a G35 coupe. I meet with the rep today for a test drive. I've been hounding this forum for information both good/bad and mod information. This car is so wicked/beautiful. Anyhow I just wanted to say hey and I can't wait to be an official owner.

I have a ? though, can the dealers come off the msrp on these? If I were waling in w/o a trade-in that's one thing but I'm sure I'll be a little upside down on it, is there room to play? I dont go in for the test drive till later this afternoon so anything information you can arm me with would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
-m

Not sure where you live, but I have heard that people in my area have been buying for less than MSRP.

I just touched base with Andy my rep and he said there are 10 coming in Aug. and 8 have deposits! There is one though that has everything I want and is my second color choice but there is zero room for pay on the price in fact the deposit is 1k and they are so confident that the car will sell that if you decide you dont want it when it gets there they will refund you in full.

Well if you asked this question about 6 months ago I would guarantee you could of worked them below MSRP. Now that the car is getting well known and selling like hot cakes after a Richard Simmons Sunday morning work out at Fat Camp good luck man. Even if you get it at MSRP the car is worth it !!! Yeah I hear you bro, worth every penny. I'm considering waiting till 04' now till things die down a bit! You think the msrp will raise for 04?

Re: Newbie to the G35 coupe epidemic!
i ordered mine on 6/3, the last day for orders to be placed to hit that months allocation. it is an 04. i got 1000 off msrp

if you are buying in august, they know the 04's are arriving end of aug, beg of sept.

even though there is demand, it will put you in position to say "why buy when i can get an 04". he'll counter with price increase on 04's but i you want an 03, i'd pressure him.

i am in nj, douglas infiniti bent in price where ray catena wouldn't.

Here in Cali, MSRP or the Door, your choice.

Again, it's worth more than the MSRP, IMO.

Desert plat, 4 pcs aero kit, sat, premium package, performance package 18". 20" on order.

Here in Nashville they wouldn't budge on MSRP, but was able to negotiate on options....got the Aero package thrown in, clear bra on hood and fenders for free......

Yeah, we Cali people think that all these rumours about discounts off MSRP are just pure myth! Our dealers don't even want to take our trade-ins! LOL! I'll be selling my old car on my own!

I can believe that you can get extras like wheel locks heavily discounted but this 1k off MSRP sounds like Bigfoot and alligators in the sewer!

Welcome to the club. I'm waiting for an '04 Twilight Blue. Yummmmmmmm!

Re: Newbie to the G35 coupe epidemic!
I am a NorCal person who received below MSRP. Mainly because the dealer kinda screwed up my order and gave away my car, but luckily another one showed up to my liking and they gave me $500 off MSRP... not too shabby... but out of the dealerships that I dealt with (Peninsula, Frontier, Serramonte, Nielo, and Pleasanton) Pleasanton was by far the best. I would strongly stay away from Peninsula/Fronteir (same owners) as they straight up lied to me multiple times. Sold a car which I had a deposit on twice.

Re: Newbie to the G35 coupe epidemic!
What do people mean when they say they got a discount off "list"? I have no idea WTF that means. Please say "discount off msrp" or "discount off dealer price". Lots of scumbag dealers here in Los Angeles throw $2500 rims on G35 sc and then mark the price up $5000. So someone telling me they got $500 off list(meaning dealer price) doesn't mean jack since they still got screwed an extra $2K over what would otherwise be the case.

Re: Newbie to the G35 coupe epidemic!
Here in Canada I got C$1500 off MSRP on the '03 Coupe 6MT black/black. It was very simple, I called APA (Automobile protection agency) told them the car I'm interested in, they gave me the invoice pricing and what they think a reasonable amount of dealer profit should be on this car, they also refered me to the local Infinti dealer that will honor their price... it was no hassle... walk in to the dealership, tell them that APA refered me and the car I'm looking for and I walked out with a deal. I don't know if there is anything like that in US, but Canadian buyers might be interested in APA: http://www.apa.ca/
