So I go to wash my car yesturday, pop the hood to clear out the leaves (I hate the fall). When I lift the hood, I get it up about 6 inches and I hear a loud "pop"... after some investigation it turns out the corner of my hood is dropping down and catching on the top part fender by the hinge on the passenger side of the car. Turns out that "pop" took off paint on both the hood and the corner of the fender. My car has not been in an accident or had any body work, I am at a loss on what is happening with the hood... i have a appointment to drop it off at the dealership on wednesday.
anyone with a similar experience or issues with their hood?

 

Not here.

After I hit the deer I now have an 'issue' where the hood needs to have the little rubber bumpers adjusted pretty far down to make the hood close well. This leaves about an 1/8" gap more than I'd prefer above my grill and I'm researching a way to fix this w/o adjusting the black rubber stoppers.
