Winter Ready?

For those that see snow-have you swapped out your summer setup, for your winters yet?

I will do it when it gets into very low 40s and there are snow forecasts .... dont want to switch too early as I have blizzacks for my winter setup and no point melting them down.

Just days after my new wheels and snows arrived a 16 year old girl slammed into the back of mine at 60mph. It'll be in the shop for at lease a month and a half. I wonder how I'll get it home with the stock tires.

Dunlop Winter Sport m3's or Blizzaks lm-22'-both good, but get a slighty staggered setup

Sorry to hear of the accident....Maybe when the shop finishes their work, they wouldn't mind putting your snows on for you, since they'll have your summers off to make repairs anyway.
It means borrowing transport to take your winters in and then your summers home again, tho., but that might be better than driving home in the snow on the wrong tires .

67 degrees today. I'm hanging on fruitlessly to the days of summer and throttle oversteer.

I'm doing the same. Trying to last to thanksgiving if I can. Supposed to be around 70 this weekend, so we shall see. (even though it snowed for 1 day here, very strage weather.)

I just swapped mine today. Put the 19's in storage and have 17" rims with Pilot PA2, ride is smoother.

We had a dusting of snow last weekend in Boston.

I got a set of used factory 17" off ebay for $300, then did the Pilots at a local shop in watertown for $1000. The tire rack has cheaper (not much) winter packages, but I wanted OEM rims.

I'm trying not to compare them to the cornering on the stock RE050's, man they rock...

i was thinking about getting some winter tires but i decided to just go buy a second car to drive in the snow. And pretty much when i dont want to put miles on the coupe. Just got my Lexus ES300 two days ago and damn dose that ride smoother.
