The only thing I can think of is if you start from the other side of the road facing traffic and pull in at a angle and avoid the sides. I assume if your house is in a neighborhood and it's not 247 cars, this can be done. When I pull into the Hotel near my corporate office, there is a hill going downstairs that is probably around a 30 degree angle. I can make it if I go down from the left side, and cross over to the right.

how close are you to clearing?

I have some rhino ramps that i cant clear and I put two 2x4's laying long ways I just drive up. It helps me clear no problem...maybe you could monkey with some idea like that??

I had the same problem in my driveway when they were working on repaving my street. I had to back into my driveway and then drive out forwards.

If I drove into my driveway forward when pulling into the driveway or backed out of it backwards when leaving the house, my front spoiler would scrape every time. It didn't happen if i backed the car into the driveway when pulling in, and drove the car out in a forward gear when leaving(slowly of course).

will 2x4s be strong enough to support the entire car?
do you think 2 boards supporting the tires are better than just one big board supporting the whole car..??

I've seen the city put down a wax paper looking product, then fill a crevice with asphalt. They can come back later and lift the whole thing out. Perhaps you can use that to create two small tire width transitions, it wont take much. And they wont be permanently attached.

Or, get a thin stepping stone from HD. Break it in half, put both halves where your tires would be. I doubt they will move around much and the 1 1/2" would be all you need here.

Steep Driveway

Yes, I bought 6 of them. And also, my coupe is pure stock and I don't lower the car as well. The problem is my driveway is way too steep and long so I had to do this; otherwise, I could hear the scratch from the lip and chassis everytime I drive the car in and out of the driveway.

if u look at my pics, the two curbs on both sides of the driveway are so close that i can ONLY go in head on. If i go in the SLIGHTEST angle, then bye bye volk rims! I tried it ONCE, jsut ONCE to test it, and boy that was the biggest mistake of my life! The curb destroyed my rims!
