yep you live in LA.. wind shield whippers are made of rubber.. rubber + heat + dryness = t3h gone.. you can try to get some at a dealer or just go buy some for a few bucks

When I lived in Chatsworth I replaced the wiper blades about every 6 months. Love the sunshine but it is death on wiper blades. Never found anything that made them last longer than about three months. Worst case is they actually bond to the windshield in the summer.

Rain-x. try it some time. if done right it eliminates the need for wipers period.

you can use silicone lube to keep them rubbery. I live in Arizona and I try to do it every time i wash my car... Just spray a bit on a towel and "squeeze" the blade while running it from top to bottom. Do this for both wipers. It'll double the lifespan of your blades.

Holly crap, you put 12k miles on a car without replacing wipers and then complain that they are already bad? You just bought a high $30k car, why would you complain about wiper blades? Those usually only last about a year anyway. One winter season, followed by a dry summer will pretty much ruin them. I'm sorry to flame you for that, but that is just rediculous.
