06' interior impracticality... IMHO
i just went to the South Florida International Auto Show, and as a G owner, i naturally headed directly to the Infiniti section. I was very pleased with the 06' headlights, but the front bumper and the tails really did not do it for me. I went into the interior, and gave the new seatbelt guides a try. When the belts are in, it is comfortable, although not much more than my '05. The impractical part comes when it is time to load passengers in the back. You must either:
a) remove the belt from the guide
-or-
b) have the passengers play limbo under the now streched seatbelt, thus making the already narrow space, well, narrower.

If that's what you bought the car for, i think you made a bad decision in getting a coupe.

if thats the only thing wrong with it, i say its the perfect coupe

well in the g vs. z battle (which i was in) the g had the upper hand because of the small (but still nice to have) back seats. Im just saying if you are going to "improve" on something (the seat belt guide) why not make it a tad more practical. and for the record, i DID NOT buy the g for practicality. i am just voicing my opinion.

IMO this is one of a few silly things that have been wrong with this car since it hit as an 2003 model..
In early 2003 models had no seat beat extention so you had to break your back to get to it
the later 03 + 04's ,the seatbelt on the passenger side ..the metal part faces the b-pillar and is so close that as you ride you hear the lovely clanking and clicking sound of it hitting the damn B-pillar....
so now they have changed it to some other annoying crap...
one day they will get it together
the car is lovely and to me in the $30K-$35K range there is nothing that looks better and performs as well as a G ....however little crap like that is not a reason not to buy it..
But I can see how he is annoyed at it!

On my 06' I've removed the seat belt from the guide. I'm going to have to learn to be more careful when I unfasten the belt because it has already made a minor indent on the door (not sure but I think yall guys referred it as the B-Pillar). Damn, only two weeks since purchase and I already have imperfection in the interior. Can live with it because it is so minor that nobodey else but I can find the indent.
Overall, still a bad *** PIMP-Mobile.
