G-coupe rules, saw RX-8 with GT touring pkg
I love my G-coupe and now it's been 3 weeks now. I was just driving by a Mazda dealership and saw a little group gathering, well curiosity got to the best of me as I pull up into the Mazda dealership. I don't think the salesman were too happy. Anyways, I do have to point out that the RX-8 with the GT touring/appearance package with the spoiler got my blood stirring. Anyways I just wanted to say the RX-8 looked pretty sweet with the appearance and spoiler package, the interior is not bad either. $5000 mark-up, you got to be sh*tting me. At the end I'm still happy to hop into my G and roar away.
Re: G-coupe rules, saw RX-8 with GT touring pkg
I test drove the RX8 today.... this was the basic version with no leather (6spd.). I personally found the car to be not too impressive in person, the pictures on the net, the brochure and in the X-men movie it looked great....maybe it was overwhelmed by all those Miatas and Mazda speeds at the dealer..who knows ?
The interior is a notch up other Mazda's, however, I'd expect better from a $40,000 (Canadian, i.e.) car.
The trunk space huge, its literally three times more than my old 1996 Lexus GS300, but it could be because you don't get a spare tire only some foam and an electric airpump?..... The rear seats lack legroom and if the driver is anywhere near 6ft., I doubt you can put an adult behind him/her. I doubt the headroom would be a problem because of the sleepy recline of the rear seats.
As for the drive I'd say its quite different, after driving the G35C, you feel the lack of torque... some of my friends love it.. but it could be that they have yet to drive my coupe!
