you'll most likely take a hit when you trade in the AT, but it wont be that bad considering its an 05, probally low milage as well. I own a 6mt, never a AT, so i wouldnt know about the feeling, but yes i say go for it. Did you already see if the dealer had any MT's left on the lot?

When i went to go get my G35, they had like 10 ATs and 2MT's left, one of which someone was buying as i was there. good luck on the decision

i just came back 30 mins ago and the dealer told me that the price is gonna drop so i should change it fast...I dont know if i will regret it but im willing to take the chance...After 2 months its only 06 models and i guess ill have to go with a 06 g35 Coupe but i liked the 05 model better...dont know why though

how much are you paying for difference if u do trade, did the dealer tell you?

usually ppl loses at least 5k when they do this kind of trades. which I think not a smart idea. but if u really like the MT, I say go for it.

im in the same boat as you actually. BUt i decided u dont want to trade in the car the same year u bought it and still have low miles because ur car didnt depreciate that much in value, yet u still get raped on trade-in value, Im thinkin of drivin my coupe for a year or two then, trade my 05 5at for a used 05 6mt. Also, i guess the only good part is our trannys will be performing long after the warranty is gone.

i was thinking of the same thing. i was hoping that since all the 06s are coming in and there trying to get rid of the 05s, prices will drop drastically. also considering MTs are a tad bit cheaper then ATs. did you go to the dealership and find out how much of a loss you'll get?

Actually autos cost less than manuals. Simple supply and demand.

Having a 04 AT, and test driving an 05 mt, i could feel a difference. In manumatic(is that even right) the shifts take a while, but with the stick, wow was it nice. It's up to you, but i'd go for the stick if i was to do it all over again.
