The one you saw on the Maxima is like the one in the Z. You can get that as a aftermarket option from Nissan from what I hear.

I'd suggest a three hour trip north to Ericksen in Edmonton for a test drive. The difference between the Calgary and Edmonton markets in substantial. I was quoted a 6 month wait for my sedan when they were first coming out in Calgary, 60 days in Edmonton.

Don't hold your breath on the tire pressure monitor actually being very useful.

I believe if you read the owners manual for the 04 model it uses the direct system. It is similar to the system used in the Z car with monitors in each wheel.

I've heard it just has a single "tire low" idiot light.. leaning towards the indirect type. A direct type system would be able to tell you which tire or what the pressure is in each tire.
