I an currently in the market for a g35 or a 330ci. I realize that being on a g35 board I will get biased results but I was wondering if any one had any advice on the two cars. A lot of the reviews I read about the 330s had horrible things to say about them. Everything I read about the g35 was awesome..

Also I am just going to do basic mods I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions to performance mods. any info will help. Also I was wondering if the cars had any religious problems that were notorious for them.

Thanks

Andrew

I'm opposite

The Car has been OK not great cuz I had to take it to the dealership often.

But the service was satisfying overall.

i agree with you. i came from owning an E46 BMW and the service was great.
i bought a nissan because i've heard the service wasn't as great as BMW but Infinitis service is better than most... boy what i wrong. (look up my thread)

this is also my first nissan and will definatly be my last. i do enjoy the car though.. the company needs work.

infiniti tustin has **** poor communication, but they take care of you. so far they've pissed me off but in return they do my work for free (got a dent and a spoiler scratch replaced for free). I called them when they never called me about fixing the dent (i wanted a quote before) and they did it anyways (which turned out great, cant tell it was hit relaly) and they offered to fix my scratch on the spoiler for free (the original work they were going to do).

so overall, yes, poor customer service, but they also take care of you.

bmw = unreliable and pricey from my friends. like gettaluvr, i would suggest the is350, i personally dont like the new 3 series look either.

my opinion... i love my g35 6mt coupe and would not trade it for any of these cars (yes, ur on a g35 message board!)

I LOVE Infiniti service. A lot of my buddies have BMWs and their service if freakin pathetic. They don't get loaner cars, takes 2 weeks to schedule anything, and little electrical things keep going on their cars. My G35 has been a pleasure and when I get it serviced (15k service, alignment, etc...) I get a loaner car. Hell, I was running late once and they gave me a loaner for an oil change.

My G has been absolutely wonderful and its been worth every penny.

Drive them both and see what you like.

I'd take the G35 over the e46 330i any day of the week. But if you're talking about the new e90 BMW 330i...if you've got the extra dough I'd take that.

I just bought my coupe and now that i see the new IS250/350's on the road, i kinda wish i waited. For a couple thousand more, you get A LOT more car.

Still love my G35 though. Costa Mesa Infiniti has been great and i agree: Tustin sucks.

I don't like BMW's because i think they're overpriced and are inundated with problems. Great performers, but aren't reliable.

Lexus is a great car, but when it comes time for maintenence, prepare to shell out some $$$.

Until someone builds something much better for less than 45K I will continue driving Infiniti's, the service has been the best I've ever had, even better than my last Mercedes in the early 90's... The quality is good, not great, but good and so is the performace... The style is awesome and the fun factor is off the chart! I just love to go anywhere just to drive the G, it has never lost that exitement...
The only change I may make is if the GT-R arrives and is less than 60K, then I will definately buy the 2nd. year production or maybe an M45 and keep this 04 G and do some serious mods to drive on weekends etc.

I almost bought a 330 before my G. After I took the g for a test drive there was no question who the winner was. Unless you get a m series its really not worth having. IMO

BMW=about 5-10k more for same equipment. But the engine is just amazing, the handling is fantastic, the build quality pretty much destroys infiniti. The best balanced car for the performance oriented driver.

Lexus=Faster, more electro-nannies (which doesn't matter unless you've been to track school. a lot.) probably the best build quality, looks like they have a hard-on for bmw.

Infiniti=cheapest and best looking with most equipment for the price.

good luck.

i was in the same boat as u.. MY best friend owns a 330ci and i must say it handles like a dream. On the other hand, the G is better looking, faster, cheaper, and more of a chick magnet. The G has more style. The bimmer has more "prestige" Choose wisely but u will be happy either way GOOD LUCK!

Well, like other, I was in the same boat. Test drive both (or three if you decide on the Lexus). I saw three Lexus IS350 near my work and I have to say the rear isn't doing it for me. It looks as though it was an afterthought. I wanted to wait for the IS350 after deciding I didn't like the 330ci. I have friends with the 330ci and sure enough, it's in the shop alot. Of course, they do like my car Now, if you like the look of the 330ci, performance, and can swallow the price, go for it. I say forget about the Lexus, I just don't like them as much as I use too. Anywho, just my two cents. And yes, I love my G35 Coupe (6MT).

P.S. I love how opinions differ so much already. Here you have people saying opposite things for both of the Cars. Gotta love opinions!

I came from a modded e36 m3. MY next choice was either 330ci or g35 coupe, just like the decision your making.

330's are great performers but they kinda blend in to every other car if you know what I mean. g35 is far more classy looking.

To be honest I feel like the 330s are really overpriced for what you get...I think opted out is around $43K? I don't think I could ever pay that much other than perhaps for a M3...and even that is really overpriced.
BMWs are very nice cars though...if they were more reliable I'd def. look into them more.
