Newbee In Need Of Suggestions On Modding 04 Coupe ...

This is my first import and am new to this market and have no idea on what to go purchase as there is so many options . I am looking for a good suspension that is not to harsh (I live in NY) for 19 in rims . I am also in the dark with 19in tire sizes as I want to keep a 40 series tire . I also see that most if not all body kits are fiberglass are there any kits that are abs and do the fiberglass kits hold ? I love the way the stock exhaust sounds should I change it or is it just a noise thing ..Thank you in advance for your help ..

Most will say bolt ons are a waste of money-- But I'm excited about my Crawford Highflow cats, Crawford plenum and stillen intake.

When it comes to aftermarket parts look for

Stillen
AEM
Borla
Fuji
Crawford
APS
Greddy
Vortec
PIAA
Volk (rims)
and of corse Nismo (if you have the money!)

Kits include the Kenstyle, INGS+1, and Greddy are most popular.

Click on links on this site, lots of goodies there and use the search about specific parts, lots of threads on lots of parts vs. parts

Welcome to the family~!

Hey man, i was the same as you when i bought my G,at first all i wanted to do was put rims, then after i got them on i just felt like modding. My first which i recomend is the Stillen Intake w/ Z tube. O yea and if your looking for a good suspension i got the H&R springs which are good too. Dont worry after a month ortwo here you'll know a sh!tload of mods, etc. Congrats on the G and yea.... welcome to the family !!!!

I have an '04 sedan, but the perf mods I have will work for you too... I'm in an '05 loaner today and my '04 (w/mods) smokes it... I have Stillen CAI w/ insulated Z-tube, Stillen v1 catback exhaust, Motordyne 1/2" plenum spacer and Iso Therm kit & 160F thermostat, B&M trans cooler, Stillen ground wires TS ECU F-flash.

I'd say the 1/2" spacer is the best bang for the buck... CAI and Exhaust was/is worthwhile for gains and sound (they were the first mods I had and drove an '05 loaner then too - butt dyno my '04 felt as strong if not stronger with those mods alone).

I also have Stillen sway bars - most people think that's the best bang for your buck... For me - it wasn’t a waste of money, but not all that people rave about.

I think you would be happy with any (or all) the mods I listed - although I might ditch the Stillen ground wires and get Gord's.

There are lots of posts about all these mods.
