Just got the car back from the shop. They gave me the original headlight back. It looks perfect from the exterior, or what's visible from the outside of the car. There is a broken tab on it. But it works correctly.
Not sure why they replaced it...
Anyway, if anyone's interested let me know.

 

Why don't you keep it an do a practice projector retro-fit. If you don't want it I'll gladly take it off your hands for cheap though unless you wanna put it up on ebay.
