Even if it did get fixed perfectly. The question is that what would be the resale

value be ? and who is willing to purchase that car when u need to sell it.

I would be really upset if the insurance compay didn't write you off.

I would really look into a lawyer. It's just not worth fixing the car when it's

damaged like yours. I got my 03 accord written off cuz the damage was

worth 13,000(canadian) and the car vaule was around 28000. SO I dun see

why they shoudln't write you off. Everyone knows how insurance compay

tries to save their money. Their pocket is unlimited but ur pocket isn't.

I'm truly sorry for what happend to your G.

FYI - That body shop is horrible Ray Catena recommends them and I had a TON of headaches with my car after they fixed it. Only after about 8-9 visits was it finally right. I would suggest taking it somewhere else; especially on damage like that.

Quote: Talked to the body shop today. They were real nice about it, and seemed to be straight up. He told me that the insurance company had made a half assed estimate and that he would be checking the car out again on his own on Friday (after the holiday). The body shop is
reputable enough to get all of the Infiniti dealer body work in about a 20 mile radius. They're the only one's Ray Catena recommends, which is somewhat encouraging. We'll see next Monday, when I get back to the East Coast and go to the shop in person.

The frame is definitely bent... The G35 is a unibody construction so with that kinda damage, you can sure bet there is frame damage.

Went and talked to the shop, signed some papers, w/e. They're looking at a preliminary cost of 14,118 (replacing almost every panel on the car, replacing every suspension part that was mildly damaged, new rims.......) layed out over 3 pages of invoice. The car is going to be down at least a month I think. Now the wait begins.
