I am in a predicament I have been wanting a G35 for a few months, and have 2 more to go(for an '04). I have been looking and looking and looking, I really like the 350Z convertible...they are about the same price...What should I do. I am soo confused?

Re: 350Z convertible

The first question that would come to my mind would be
a) do I want a 2 seater or a 4 seater
b) Convertible or NO
c) Nissan.. or ..Infiniti

Think about where this car will be driven too.. etc.. weekend car? work car

The 350Z roadster Looks Sweet with the Top down. However with the Top Up That's another story. The 350 has a Cheesey Plastic interior compared to the G-35. I say get the G-35 I'm Happy EVERY time I drive my Car............

Re: 350Z convertible

I agree that the Z looks good only with the top down. When I owned convertibles I was paranoid about getting my top slashed and ended up buying a hardtop thus defeating the purpose of a convertible. After a couple of months I decided that I preferred a permanent top and traded my Miata for the Z Coupe.Wind buffeting, road noise and sun on your head get old really quickly.

Re: 350Z convertible

If you have never owned a convertible before, you MUST talk to someone who has. It is a lifestyle choice - kind of like owning a boat - alot of people buy it, then end up never using it.

If it's just going to be a weekend car anyway, I say get the 350Z. But if it's your only mode of transport, get the G.

Re: 350Z convertible

I have never owned a convertible before...I have not even owned a sports car before. My previous vehicle is an Explorer Sport. http://www.sounddomain.com/id/bigballer69 I have driven my pop's 03' Thunderbird for a couple weeks and its nice to ride with the top down...but the G is still really tight. BTW I am 18 YO male in Los Angeles where we can have the top down 345 of 365 days a year.

Re: 350Z convertible

Just to let you know what they are running. The Enthusiast model which is the base model runs at 39k, which is more than the G. The Touring model which is the nice one, features leather, heated seats and a possible navi if you want it, runs at 45k. Which is much more than the G. So no the prices are not the same. 5k mark up right now, the dealers will not budge. Unless you want to wait 6 months. Good luck...

Re: 350Z convertible

What r u smoking? The fully loaded Touring model is 38900...about 500 more than a G fully loaded.
