Question Lexus IS250 or G35 Coupe?

I am new to this forum. I recently purchased the 2006 IS250 (non-AWD) less than a month ago and starting to have second thoughts. I traded my 2005 IS300 for the IS250 and while I like the IS250, I feel that something is missing. I am stuck between the IS250 AWD w/Nav and the G35 Coupe. I wanted to hear the opinion of other G35 owners (likes, dislikes, problems, etc).

Many thanks....

Chris (Waldorf, MD)

Well you already bought your choice.....not much to do now...your just asking for salt in your wound. Lexus is a VERY nice car, but the IS250 just looks nice, there is no umph behind that car. The G has got it there. Now if you were to go for the IS350 and it was manual and a coupe I don't think there would be a question, but there is no such car as of yet.

Those are very different choices. Can't exactly compare an AWD sedan with a RWD coupe.

Listen, congrats on your new ride. Enjoy your new ride for what it is. Don't second guess yourself. The IS250 is a damn fine car.

too late now, I definitely wouldnt trade in a car I just bought a month ago. Just enjoy the IS for a couple years, then if you are still not completely happy with it, you can trade it in for the new G coming out in a couple of years or the IS350 coupe.

i test drove the is250/350 and went with a g35 sedan. the IS had overly boosted steering and was slow in comparison the the g35. handling wasn't as good either, but it was much more comfortable and quieter, although the rear seats are a little smaller.

stick with your is, its too late. The IS looks great anyway and is a great car other than its obvious lack of power in comparison to the G35 coupe.

I would probably have second thoughts as well since the IS250 is slower than the former IS300. It has the looks, but no power. You get looks and performance with the G coupe.

if you want to go faster with slightly worse interior quality, get g35. i thknk both are hot cars, just there are too damn many g35s around nowadays... i am sure is250 is going to be as abundant as g35s soon enuf.

I like my G35C, but if I were you I wouldn't trade-in my IS250 for one. The G in stock form doesn't have much performance, so I don't think you would be happy with the G. If performance is what you are after, buy an M3.
