If your A/T 03 coupe came from the factory with oem 18's, you have the tire and wheel package which also includes a viscous limit slip diff.
The catch about the oem VLSD is that part of it's function is that is must allow slip to occur before it can start to lock up to try and limit slip. Also it does not have a high threshold concerning the amount of power it can hold back.
I did a oem VLSD swap on my car. I did it with individual parts,....BIG mistake. Even though I scored a zero mileage oem viscous core for only $100,
their were other required part's that no one knew about at the time. The ONLY way to do a oem VLSD swap is to find a whole rear pumpkin as in a sealed diff case and swap it onto your car. If you go to my350z.com right now g356gear is selling a pair of them. WAY cheaper then the $900 I ended up wasting. Frankly, I'd rather have some typical clutch type LSD noise vs the so so effetive oem VLSD I have now. Oh well leason learned.
