Hi All, I just got my new G35 coupe over the weekend and ordered a personalized plate "G35 6MT". A friend thinks that's great, while two thought it's lame. What do you guys think?

im not a big fan of vanity plates.......but who cares what other people think, as long as you like it.

 

I looked that up when ordering my California plates on the Cal DMV website and it was available a few weeks back. I wanted something a little more creative and ended up ordering

I drive my 4 and 6 year old kids in it all the time anyway, so it seemed appropriate.

Thanks for your input. But i think readability is often sacrificed for creativity, and I think the former is more important.

Nah, it doesn't need to be understood by everyone. Most people wouldn't have a clue what Skyline refers to. Even most G owners. Its not bad if its a little esoteric. Just like 1 ovr 0. Not everyone understand that, but its unique and creative. Here's mine. Veloce is Italian for quick or fast. I'm 100% Italian.

I finally got my plate in 2 weeks ago "G-COUP".

It's a little play on words, 'coup' meaning not a 2-door car, but the act (pronounced like "koo"). Among my favorite dictionary definitions for it are:

1) To overturn or upset
2) A brilliant, sudden, and usually highly successful stroke or act
3) A sudden decisive exercise of force especially the violent overthrow or alteration of the establishment or status quo

It actually wasn't my first choice, but the others I liked were already taken in PA: "G-BYE" and "PULLN-GZ"
