VIDEO: G35c fun in the SNOW

I never bothered to put this online because the footage isn't that great. I was cleaning out my hard drive and found this abandoned project. I spruced it up a little for those that are interested. I didn't push the car very hard since I was still in the break-in period. Also, stupid VDC kept kicking in even though i had it OFF. Next time I'll pull the fuse... if only I had known back then. The video doesn't suck as bad if you just blast the music.

g35snow.mpg 21.5MB

And NO, i am not taking a **** in the snow. It's an obligatory @ss shot like every good video should have... 80's style.

I can't get it to work...It says invalid data. Is there a problem with the file. I'm using media player to view.

Re: VIDEO: G35c fun in the SNOW

got quicktime...worked fine...thanks!

On the other hand it is compelling to know that I do have a chance with my 6MT and 18's in the snow! Does this car have snow's on it?

Thanks,

OK, it should play in Windows Media Player now. Please let me know if it doesn't.

I was running the summer stock 18s. No, you will need snow tires if you plan to drive it on the street safely. I got stuck several times. This snow storm was only 3-4 inches i think. I did drive it 20+ miles home from work. VDC came on several times, but I had to drive slow and conservatively. Living in NY/NJ my whole life, I know how to drive in the snow if I absolutely need to. Not very safe. I will be getting snow tires this winter.

Re: VIDEO: G35c fun in the SNOW

Hey,
This is not really a G related question, but i saw you use a mac. I do too. i am assumkng you used imovie or one of the final cut pro versions. My question is that the movie is in .mpg format, what program di dyou use to put it in .mpg. I can only export a movie as .mov. I might have just over looked the button though. Your help is appreciatted. thanks!

Thanks for the video. Good job on editing. Love the driver's hair too. thanks. We should have a forum just for videos that other people have made of their "G's"

Re: VIDEO: G35c fun in the SNOW

LOL! Being a mac user I prefer the .MOV format myself. It's the cleanest, most flexible format. But unfortunately, most people own PCs and use windows media player. If you want to go directly to .MPG from Final Cut Pro or iMovie you need the full version of QuickTime Pro. Then just go to export>Movie to Toast Video CD. This makes it an .mpg file. You may need to bring it into VCDgear to make it compatble with windows media player. I, however went into Media Cleaner to convert it into mpg so I could run some encoding filters to make the quality a little better.

Re: VIDEO: G35c fun in the SNOW

Thanks for the help! I have quicktime pro too so i will be fine. I have been really frustrated because so many people own useless PC's and usually don't have quicktime. Esspecially when you have a website with video on it that the average person can't figure out how to view and nags you about it. I agree the .mov format is very flexiable and apple is the best. So i am climatically in love the G35 for it's beauty and greatness and Apple for their beauty and greatness. They are now totally years beyond windows and pentium. I just got the isight and it is incredible. That and the G5 have to be alien technology. thanks again
for the help
