anybody have any exp. cutting carbon fiber,i want to get a carbon fiber engine cover but i have to cut it to clear the stillen fi.any help would be great.

 

You need a high speed cutting wheel. they are thin and typically used for cutting metal. They run between 10-14K rpms and you can get them at any hardware. Be careful of any lose carbon fiber since its so narrow and stiff you could get stuck pretty easy.

 

You can use a dremel

 

I used a dremel to cut mine.It is easy to do,just takes time to get the right cut around the plenum.then used sandpaper to finish it off.
