Addition of salvaged OEM nav to cpe.

Anyone tried this yet? I'm just thinking of goodies I don't have, and nav is the only OEM goodie I don't have. Obviously you can only get nav from the factory...but has anyone attempted an OEM nav install with a system from a salvage vehicle that was totalled out? I'm sure it wouldn't be easy...but nothing looks as clean as the OEM nav as far as I'm concerned. And with a double DIN nav placed in a JDM console, you can't get 6 disc capability (at least as far as I know). Just curious...and thinking out loud about next year projects.

I've heard it's too expensive to even attempt. I could be wrong.

I heard it is at least a ten-hour long job, and that is if you know what you're doing. Lots of long wiring harnesses which would need installed.

Ten hours under the dash might be better than 5 minutes with a cartographically-challenged navigator beside me.

Pictures don't seem to be posted anymore but you can ask thatg if he has pics or something. I had the same questions a little while ago and looking at the install pics, it's not worth it. https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/66580-stock-navi-out-avic-d1.html . Look for thatg's link to car domain.

I would recommend you just getting this navi - https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/77035-digitalwheelz-2005-g35-screen-delayed.html
