350gt V35

Hi All,

Greetings from Singapore, I'm currently in the market for a Nissan Skyline V35 coupe which is basically a rebadged G35. Does anyone know what are the major differences between the models? trim level, suspension? It's basically very rare here. If I actually ordered it there would only be 2 V35s running around.
Also how's the reliability of the G35? I've heard of people having seats problems but being RHD I don't think it'll affect me much. Would you recommend the 5AT or 6MT if I were to supercharge the car in the future?
Is there a Nissan international warranty like BMW's 2 yr Intl warranty? Cause my dealership is only offering me a 1 yr warranty deal.

Thanks
Jason

Here are the spec for the V35 6MT

The main differences between the 6MT and 5AT are that the 5AT doesn't come with Viscous LSD or Tilt Meter panel. I also have no idea if the price includes the Rear Active Steering package that Infiniti America is offering

Uh... It's not cool with the price of cars in SG. The funny thing is... the Government just cut down taxes... It use to cost about 160K for the V35 coupe. Anyone help has any info about the questions I have?

I have 03.5 coupe with 32k miles. No problems.

6MT would be better for FI applications. For 5AT's, you have to do a valve body job for it to have better shifts. Then you might have to raise the rev limiter in order to keep the car from hitting it as autos tend to get confused when they are given a lot more power than stock. Plus 6MT's are more fun

Yeah, been doing some research it seems there are some S/C kits out there for 5ATs too. Guys so how's the reliability of the G35? The SMG on my Bimmer is terrible in terms of reliability, that's the main reason why I want to do the switch.

i'd suggest it. overall its a very reliable and good looking car. how much do M3s go for out there? i got a 6speed manual and dont regret that at all... i volunteer to drive everywhere because i love it so much.. and even after i get out of my car, i turn back around and admire it at least 4 times as i walk away

M3s would cost about SGD$330,000. Hella expensive!

Another thing with warranty claims. Any idea if Nissan offers 2 yrs International warranty claims with their vehicles?

LOL, yeah but if you really want to have fun and drive fast. I'll head to Malaysia. The BMW club in SG heads to Sepang GP circuit evey quarter. It's fantastic. But in SG itself, the police are fanatical.
Man, I'm so psyched about the V35. Any issues with the 5AT trannys?
BTW what's the 0-100 timing for the 6MT and 5ATs?
