i didnt get it, im young and they offered it to me at a extra ~30-40 to my monthly bumping it up from 440 to 468-480...not something i could handle.
as for if its worth it or not, im not sure, which extended warranty program did u choose? theres some that covers basic extended, and another that basically does the whole she-bang (if thats a word).
hope this helps.

To answer your question, answer this one: are you committed to keeping the car for 7 years?? Even if transferrable, I won't get most of my money back on the warranty if I sell the car. I usually never buy an extended warranty on anything...but when I bought my coupe in early '03 I did buy the Infiniti extended warranty. Paid less than $2K though. Car is almost 3 years old, so just another year till the extended warranty kicks in. Given how I still love this car, and that Caribbean Blue with Brembos is relatively unique based on production numbers (though believe it or not a guy in my small westchester town has a carbon copy of my car), I plan on keeping mine until it costs me too much not to. And though extended warranty doesn't cover everything, it should cover enough so that I don't feel I'm putting too much money into it through year 7.

I bought it because I knew how expensive Infiniti repair was gonna be. By year 7, I will look for a new car anyway but until then, if anything like the CD player, speakers, sensors, windows, seat motors, and various other million little things break, you know they are gonna charge you a couple hundred to get it fixed. Plus one big boom by the engine or tranny and it could pay itself many times over. I got mine for about $1300 for the full she-bang so I figure a piece of mind is worth it.
you hardly ever use warranty.
have 3 cars w/o a single warranty and looking forward not to get any for next vehicle as well.
if you get things done on right time such as maintenance (30k checkup etc), you wont have much problems IMO. (at least for my case)
bottom line is that i dont think it's worth it

in the 5 cars i've bought new i've purchaced the extened warranty... Mostly not age, but milage.. i put about 20 - 25K a year on a car.
And ALL of them that reached the EXT warranty have paid for them selves.
00' jag, 1500 for warranty, new rear end at 65k was $2500 other wise.
97 VR4 1200 for warranty. new tranny at 70K would've been ~$6500.

i think if you plan to mod the car, don't buy it... but if you like to keep it stock, it's worth it.... IMO you're deprieving yourself all that potential power and fun from the car if you don't mod... so i wouldn't buy it.....
I bought an Infiniti Elite extended warranty when I bought my 03 G35 coupe back in October. It extends the mileage 60k and is good for 5 years from the date I bought the car. It covers just about everything exept wear and tear items. I paid $1600 for it. I drive a lot of miles and I plan on keeping the car for a while so it'll most likely pay off for me.
I bought the extended warranty b/c it will cover the car up until 87K or the life of the loan, and I figured while I'm paying for it, I want to be covered.
It's what I did and my .02 take it or leave it. = P

half the reason i bought the g35 is the engine was tried and true, so i opted not to. if the engine had rumors of breaking down frequently i prob wouldnt have bought the car or i wouldve gotten it.
just my 2 cents... DONT DO IT
