I wouldnt even have bought a extended warrenty on my 91 accord beater...never mind a 03+ japanese car which has pretty slim chance of breaking down in the first place.

VQ35 is a proven engine and people(even the ones with high mileage) don't complain about any problems except rattles. Occasionally, some complain about tranny problems but those are mostly from 03 models(damn it... but mine is still fine with 32k miles *knock on wood*). I don't think it's worth it. If anything happens to break, unless you blow the motor or tranny, the repair bill isn't gonna exceed $2k. Cancel it.

If you have Geico, I believe they dive you a free extended warranty while you ahve full coverage. Covers all major things and has a 250 dollar deductable. It is free with apolicy. YOu should look into it if you have Geico because you get that coverage for free.

so the extended warranty usually cost $1000+???

i'm worried most about the manual tranny going out on me since so many people had so many problems with them......
i have about 20,500 miles on my 04......

The only extended warranty I bought on this car is the tire & wheel warranty.

The only time I ever bought an extended warranty on a car was on a 1985 Merkur XR4Ti. Not sure why I did it, except that it was a new model with a turbo. Turned out to be the best investment, as I had to replace the air cond, power steering, radio/tape player, radiator, clutch, and a few other things. I sold the car when the warranty expired.
