I'm forever indebt to your priceless advice
I rather not, and have it done right
You really can't do an intake wrong.. does these cars have a MAF or MAP sensor? as this is pretty much do the only thing you should be careful of.
Just find some type of tech article and follow the steps it should be cake, save you some money as well. Good luck.

do what i did. i had 0 knowledge of my engine. so i watched a friend install an intake for me. he let me do some of it too. From then, i was able to install my plenum, take apart and reinstall my intake, and all sorts of things. You'll never learn if you just pay someone to do it.

You can buy tools, when you install a mod yourself it feels great... i did my intake myself and i had no idea what i was doing prior to reading the instructions... i got it odne right .. i had a few friends watch over me though .. maybe if you can get some one to watch over you .. then you'll be fine.

Thanks for the last three posts.
I really want to save the money on plenum and intake-- But I'm going to go out and buy tools and try and figure it out via a DIY, that just doesn't work for me. I'm the biggest gear head that I know too, so that doesn't help.
Can't wait to hear/feel the increases from these mods O.o!!!!
Thanks guys

Ok.. so you don't want to do it yourself.. that's fine have a shop do it... but isn't this a little pricey for the install?
Intake should charge $50
High flow cats charge $50-80
I don't know what that plenum thing is.. so not sure about that... I'm just using rates from shops around where I live... On my 04 Evo it costs me $100 to have exhaust set up.. thats the Downpipe, High-flow cat, and Catback so a full exhaust set up. The intake is cake to install.. I'd imagine it would be so much easier in the G since there is a lot more engine space to work with.
BTW.. thats normal on the dyno.. how many pulls are they giving you?
