snow? no problem for me.. check it out (pics)

I wish I could create a video, but didn't have a chance too as I just decided to take out the G after the blizzard in MA.

I have 17" alloys with WS-50 Blizzaks and they are amazing, I did not slip once today on a 45 mile trip. Highway I was cruising it at about 50-65mph, more wet there but with little frozen snow in the lanes.

I even saw 4 x 4 pickup trucks spin tires in the snow.. I was just cruising along..

In the city its not bad but alot of inner roads was not cleared out yet and I had no problem driving through without getting stuck. I'll see how these do later at night when I take another trip in colder temps.. when I left this morning it was about 28 degrees.. late at night will probably drop down to around 15-18 degrees.

Here's how I was cruising in low rpms and decent speed in the inner roads.

If you don't mind me asking, about how much did the winter set up cost you? Unfortunately, since I just bought my car, it's sitting in my garage not being driven because of the snow around here right now. I really need to start researching on winter tires, etc..

I got 4 set of wheels and 4 cheap rims for $964.00 including shipping at Tirerack.com

They are well worth it.. I was doing better than other cars I saw.. all FwD and some 4x4's.

I dont know if you really have a love for your car, or take good care of it, or i dont know if you dont care period, but does snow mess up the paint and clear coat on the car?

Dude, it's a G35. Not a Ferrari or Lambo.

Man thats a good deal, i checked the website and I cant seem to find that deal anymore. We just had a huge snow storm on Thursday and those tires would really help out. Luckly I have another car but I would love to drive my G!

unfortunately for most G owner from Mass can't even afford a 2nd winter car because insurance is UP to our a$$. . And like other fellow say, it's only a freaking G35. You pay for it then might as well drive the god damn car. BTW, I have an identical set up for $800 and it's been pounding all the snow with no problem

just wash and wax before winter. and then strip the wax in the spring and wash and wax. Good for another XX months.

Anyways, no harm to the car from snow.

The only winter danger to the car is the road salt crews spray on the road. Just wash the car and you are good to go.

i just bought this car so I don't have money for winter rims.. It looks very nice tho

I'm a big fan of black rims with the chrome lip.

Thanks all for wishing luck.. good luck to you all too this winter, just wanted to get a glance at the G doing fine it snow.. looks to me now I won't miss my Evo too much after all. I also went the gas station for the first time today in my G and I could not find the switch to open the gas tank... god I felt like an idiot, after countless walking around each side looking for something under or near the door I finally figured out to just push it in and it pops open.

And chilibowl, as long as you wash your car frequently after you see salt on your car you should be fine, car is always waxed before winter, I've gone through winters with new cars plenty of times and no harm to the paint was ever done as long you take care of it.
