yes but if u get the 5/16 and keep the engine cover on no one will know.. just take it off before u get to the dealer (if ur taking it there for something that requires the tech to take the cover off)

i went to a dealer for the axel clicking problem with rims, stech, spacer, popcharger, z-tube, grounding wires, and no engine cover

its a piece of metal (giant washer if u wana be really simple minded) between the lower plenum and upper plenum (intake manifold) kinda like how the carborator guys add a spacer between the plenum to gain more hp im guessing this was where the idea originally came from. this adds HP by providing more area in the manifold for more air (better supply of air for the #5 and 6 cylinder)

the iso kit will allow the manifold and throttile body to get hot this will allow COOLER air to enter the combustion chamber.. cooler = better.. this is IMO a TRUE cold air intake.

If your going to do it at all - do the 1/2" spacer...

05 G35C IP- PerfKit-Aero/StillenCAI and Sways/UDP/BorlaEx/3.92Gears/NismoCams-Heads/TransKit-TC/.5" MDYNE Spacer...more

I think the engine cover will rub the hood with the 1/2.

it WILL rub the hood.. the only way it WONT rub is if u tighten the upper bolts that mount the cover down really well.. in other words.. bend the engine cover a bit.. BUT u risk snaping the screw in ur plenum.. IMO just leave the cover off.. depends what ur going into the dealer for.. if its just service.. leave the spacer on.. techs wont give a damn and service writers or anyone wont inspect the hood if ur going in for service.

this warranty crap sux ***.. cant wait till 08 to start doing mods on the car.. n imo the spacer helps out the car breath..

Just ordered the Copper Iso Thermal Spacer yesterday. Cant wait put the thing on. I've been reading a lot on this lately and Motordyne seems to be the guys who have put the most effort into making a really good product.
