are you using aftermarket springs?

i think it's your wheel balance, but if not, have your struts checked.
it could be worn out enough that the tire(s) is bouncing at expressway
speeds.

typically unbalanced wheels do not vibrate on and off...it's vibration
from about 50mph and does not go away until you slow down.

Ok thanks - I have to make an appointment at the dealer anyway to have my dome light fixed. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt...lol....crazy car of mine. maybe they'll do a quick inspection for free. I doubt it, but its worth it to just have it all checked.

So i should ask them to check out the shocks, struts, warped rotors and wheel bearings. If all these check out, i dunno what the deal could be.

Anyway to answer your question, yeah it was in a accident. Some crazy lady just came out of nowhere and plowed into my front end, but the vibrating was there before. I wonder if maybe it just made my suspension bad then after that to make it off enough for when I put my OEM wheels back on?? I dunno i guess it could be anything. I miss my old ride. =(

Over torqueing a wheel can really mess up the rotors.
On my previous car, one guy overtorqued one lug nut so hard, that it stripped the stud. So now the lug nut is tightly on the stud but the stud is turning. They wanted to torch thru my new chrome rims, in order to get the lug nut off the stud, so I could take the wheel of if I need to. I did not let them. All the shops said you have to torch and if it was easier all the cars would have wheels stolen everyday. Luckily wheels came with the tuner lugs, and one of my cousins drilled thru the stud until the lug nut had nothing to hold on to and it broke off. What a nightmare that was. I'm so happy, knock on wood, my coupe don't vibrate, even with my second set of oem 18s with winter tires, that I bought off of a guy from this website, the coupe is nice and smooth. Good luck guys.

i have a similar vibration issue on my 2004.5 coupe. i had aftermarket 19" rims with no problems whatsoever. the ride on them was as smooth as i could ask for on the terrible roads around here.
on the return from a 200 mile road trip i dented my front passenger side rim. naturally the wheel developed a nasty vibration since it was no longer round.

i got it home, and the next day had my tire place mount and balance my Pirelli SnowSport 240 tires onto my OEM rims and install them on my car. the vibration persists. i thought maybe they didn't do such a good job mounting or balancing that wheel, but now i'm not sure.

maybe it's time to go see the dealer again and have them check the whole suspension while i'm there, since my suspension has also been making a weird HISSSS when i pull outta my driveway. (and strangely enough, i also have a misbehaving dome light... the passenger side one sometimes doesn't come on when you open the doors, sometimes it does)
