I agree looks nice, but......
Discussed many times...it won't work
There's more info if you want to spend some time with the search.

I don't agree.
The key FOB for my 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT fully loaded is the same exact one that came with my girlfriends Sentra Special Edition...

WTF! This car cost more than double that and we get the same key FOB? It is functional but it definitely looks like $hit...

Sounds like you're close to trading for the Sentra or something else that offers a nicer key fob.

The 06 Fob *should* be able to program to use the keyless entry, truck and panic at least. I have planned to check this with my local dealership...will post whenever I get around to it guys..

Well I am an EE and let me say first off that it CAN be done. Anything can be done, it is just a matter of cost (time and/or money). I just cracked my keyfob from my 03 and had a look at the circuit board. It is a very simple circuit that utilizes the HCS361. The HCS361 is a comercially availale code hopping encoder made by by MICROCHIP. My guess is that the 06 key fob uses a different chip. (someone with an 06 could verify this )

A person could have circuit boards made up that fit the form factor of the 06 key fob, but contain the circuit from the earlier models. Or a person could try a "Frankenstein" and modify the circuit board from the 06 to work with the HSC361. The first method is definately possible, the second may be possible. However I don't really think it is worth it by the time you have bought an 06 keyfob.

How is the '06 different...unless you get the smart key. any pics to compare. I've got the '06 with smart key but curious about what the fuss is. What's the '05 look like? IMO they should all be a part of the key like the Germans make them.
