G Side molding
G Side molding
I've noticed that on most if not all pix posted here of your G's do not have side moldings. I am just wondering if this is something you guys didn't want when purchased or some other reasons not to have them? Thanks
Re: G Side molding
I just don't like the look. Others do, because it breaks up the slab sided look, and offers some protection from fools in the parking lot. I broke up the side of mine with pin striping. My Wife's Camary has 'em. My Coupe does not, and will not.

Re: G Side molding
i would never get the side mouldings.. i kno it would help protect my car from other car doors, but it just doesn't look good on the coupe IMO.. i had them on my integra and someone still dinged my door, so it doesn't really help i think.. but i tink the most common reason why ppl don't get it is they like the body styling of the coupe as is..
Re: G Side molding
To me, they ruin the clean lines of the car. I've already gotten 2 door dings that probably could have been prevented by them, but there's still no way in hell I would get them.
Re: G Side molding
I actually don't mind the look of the side moldings. I just wish they were more functional.
If I thought they'd actually prevent door dings, I'd probably get them myself. However, they look to be too low and too thin to provide any real protection for your doors. So I doubt they'd be worth the money to me.

I have a 2004 G35C Red/Graphite Premium with Aero, BSM and Splash gaurds "S" order due Aug-Sept. I agree, I too have never seen this combination in a picture .
I respect those who want to preserve the smooth lines of the G.
I prefer covering the big butt with a spoiler, dividing the wide doors and dressing up behind the wheels. I came to these conclusions after viewing cars with these options at the dealership. You just have to see one in person. The body side moldings line up with a crease on the front bumper to continue the line around. I will be using my car as a daily driver with kids parking up close at supermarkets and malls - I need all the protection I can get!

Re: G Side molding
I don't see the moulding is all that bad either. That's why I raised this question. I was in the dealer several times try to justify my look on the side mouldings and it's not that bad looking. In fact I like the look of the side mouldings better than the naked one. It seems more aggresive with the side mouldings on I think. May be that's just me. Your red G look hot...real hot
