That looks like quite a project for a DIY'er.

Can you do that with the 03 and the 04s or not? that would be cool. I already have the navi but it would be great to have the center but i dont think it can happen.

From what I have read it is a real PITA. So much easier to just go aftermarket.

Yeah, much MUCH easire to go aftermarket. And that way, you can get the option to play DVDs as well. I like how the stock Navi is integrated with the car, but if you didn't get it with the car, it's not worth it to get it after you got the car.

There was already a guy on this forum that did the install, IIRC he bought the G35 sedan used and wanted the NAV so he got all the parts and installed it himself. There were a bunch of pics too, that is if they didn't get corrupted during the forum upgrade.

I remember that guy who installed it....the picture of the dash apart with harness wires everywhere made you wonder if his car would ever work again

Its just of center in the dash. I don't see it either. What I want to know is how hard is it to extend the wiring from the dvd drive so that it can be mounted somewhere else like the trunk. I have always wanted to do this and then mount a nice computer in the original dvd drive spot. A mac mini would be perfect!
