I have a 2005 diamond graphite coupe fully loaded. My problem is that I'm contemplating getting tints or not. What do you guys think.. does it make that much of a difference in the look? I would go light, probably only 35%. Let me know and thanks for your expert opinions fellow G owners. I love this car!

 

I currently have 35% and wish I would have got 15 to 20%. In the spring I'm going to change it. I have a black coupe and I think the car will look so much better with darker tint. The darker tint will match better in a sense. The real reason i got 35% is because I wanted ppl to be able to see me, when the car was new. Now I would much rather have the look and don't want ppl to see me (Rookie mistake). Go dark!

def go with limo's..........you will regret it if you go lighter........i originally had 30%........ended up striping them off and getting limo

 

i went with 15% and it is definately nice!! you wont regret the tint, unless you go light of course lol

 

i got 35% and it is not bad. People can still see you, the only reason i didn't go lower is because plenty of my friends get pulled over for having illegal tints :\ and i know some that could not pass inspections in MA. grrrr..

 

MA is pretty strict about that crap... I'm sure they are up there with places like Cali, I know some people are starting to get pulled over for "loud" exhausts.

Go with the darkest tint that is LEGAL and that way you have no troubles.. tints are definately worth it for a couple hundred bucks.. don't get the cheap ones that turn purple after a couple years.

I don't have tints on my G yet but will soon enough I'm going with the carbon tints! Don't go for those metallic ricer tints..

 

What about if I decide to trade the car in to the dealer in a few years. Do tints lower the retail value? Thanks guys

 

It shouldn't, not like tint is a crazy mod, if anything maybe you could get a hundred more for legal tint. I have athens blue 35% front and 20% sides and rear. looks good, I don't have any pics though.

i got 35% all around and sometimes, it's hard to tell i even have any tint, especially when it's bright sunlight out.. i've been told that 35% is very classy looking, but if i were to do it again, i'd probably go 20% again.. then again, i did get pulled over for 20%.. so who knows..

 

20% ... I have DG .. & 20 is real nice
