Stillen sways on 05 6MT coupe... WTF???

So I was bored before dinner with the folks so I used my parents' garage to install my Stillen Sway bars which I purchased thru a GB on this forum recently.

Has anyone else with the SPORT TUNED SUSPENSION noticed that the Stillen bars look IDENTICAL to the OEM ones? I mean when I pulled the stock ones off and set them side by side... the only thing different was the color and the Stillen ones have three holes where they connect to the end links. My OEM front bar was actually heavier and and even looked thicker in diameter! I set the Stillen on top of the OEM and the hole lined up where MED setting on the Stillen lined up with the hole on the OEM. For the rear, the OEM one was lighter than the Stillen one in weight. The holes however lined up exactly like the front where the OEM lined up with the MED setting of the Stillen.

So I set my Stillen ones to MED/MED since I figured that must = OEM Sport Tuned on my 05???

I actually feel like my car felt better before I swapped them. So was this even considered an upgrade?

Wouldn't the SOFT setting be pointless on an 05 Sport Tuned Suspension since that would mean going softer than OEM?

WTF???

really? I was about to buy a set too. Do a few more road test and let me know how it is. Also, I would like to hear what other users have to say.

the stillen sways are adjustable. this allows you to create bias, which the stock sways do not.

call stillen and ask politely if they wanted your OEM sways so they can drill the ends, paint them, slap a stillen sticker on it, and resell it. Then you'll know the horrible truth!

Is there any real difference between the bar thicknesses? Maybe the stillens are thicker, but are tubular? I have never seen the OEM G35c sways, but I'd imagine you should see a significant difference in thickness or design.

It would be an upgrade if you dont have the sport tuned suspension since you drive an AUTOMATIC and it doesnt come standard as it does on the 6MT

I have the sport tuned suspension and added the Stillen adjustable sway bars. What a world of difference they made! Our cars are set up with tons of understeer. By setting the front Stillen sway bar to it's softest setting and the rear bar to it's stiffest setting, the understeer is completely gone! It handles WAY better than stock. As a matter of fact, the OEM front bar is just fine. It's the rear bar that needs the upgrade. For those who say the sway bar mod is pointless, you must have not set them up correctly of don't drive your car so you can appreciate them. The Stillen sway bar modification is one of the best bang for the buck mods I have done.
