hm good reading.. pretty much if u have aftermarket springs, shocks, coils or wheels go do the skid pad test and adjust it according to your pref..
i think im going to hold off on the install for now.. until i get the coils and control arms + alignment with new tires then i'll put the sways on and do the "skidpad" test..
anyone know whats needed to adjust caster on our cars? is HKS fully adjustable (camber caster) - like JIC?
also would skidpad help determining which dampening force is best?

Since the middle of the bar isn't connected or balanced to anything, having one side on one setting and the other on another setting doesn't mean one side will behave differently than the other. The bar is just flexing BETWEEN the 2 sides...
What matters is the stiffness setting RELATIVE from one side to the other.
Kind of hard to explain, but no it doesn't matter.
Why does every body think Stillen is the way to go?
I do not think they even know who makes them for them.
Try Eibach for starters. Any speeds over 70 mph, you will need to adjust the rear with more agressive pressure. The above posters are very close to a good setup.

I have only read the first page at this point, but I have no clue what you guys are talking about when you said you didn't notice a difference... hehehe honestly, drive harder :-D - do it in the dry of course, and then come back here and respond with the huge smile on your face :-)
The thickness of the bar doesn't matter if the material it is made of is stiffer. Material properties are a huge issue when the car comes with a bar that is already so large - so more expensive, stiffened steel or whatever material must be used.
I went from 05 sports sways to the stillens at med med and Im thinking about putting them to a harder setting, but thats because I love the rail road track feeling. Of course, I will have to upgrade the rest of the suspension to give the system completeness.
On my last car, I upgraded everything, springs, shocks, and put all sorts of stability bars, then when I upgraded the sway bars, it had a multiplicative effect. I suspect that if we were to upgrade everything else and then do sways later, it would be a greater difference.
WHOOT for suspension upgrades
