If it were leaking wouldnt the Check Engine light come on? I mean it would be just like if you had a bad vacuum hose connection or something similar. You're probably fine! Congratulations!

Also...why have you guys decided to go this route as opposed to say a CrawfordZ plenum? Obviously the temp control is a point of differentiation. Thoughts?

kidtronix - i decided to go with the MREV PLUS as opposed to the other plenum mods for the following:

1. after reading the LONG thread on the MREV mod and great reviews
2. ISO THERMAL
3. COPPER TB Heater
4. Machined Lower Collector

When I researced the other plenum mods, they just seemed to increase the volume and flow but didn't do anything for the temperature isolation. Plus the MREV was specifically designed for our REVUP engines. Those were my reasons.

My reasons too. All the reasearch shows best bang for the buck mod. (especially good for me since I am going NA). Cant wait to get mine installed!

MikeStarrg35 - are you running the stock exhaust with those headers?

If so, let me know how it works out? I was also looking into headers but I don't plan on doing any exhaust modifications.

I know that the TB needs to be heated in temps below 50 deg.F. Question: is there a valve to turn this off in our mostly (always) hot weather in South Texas?

Texasscout - since you live in a warmer climate, you would not need to get the copper iso thermal kit. Your best bet would be to get the 5/16" iso thermal MREV kit. This will just use the coolant bypass valve instead, which you could open and close depending on the weather. We are still honoring the 8% sale if anyone wants to pre-order the kit on our site, and we are also still honoring our holiday shipping discount this month, even while inventory is on backorder until the middle of January. Feel free to PM me for details.

All the Motordyne products are on backorder until the middle of January. We are accepting pre-orders online if you are interested in the current sale going on.

6969 - The MREV is for the 6MT, 298HP RevUp engine. However, your AT could still benefit from the more basic plenum spacer.

It does wonders. Mine only cost like $250 or something.
I would say that its the best horsepower per dollar mod you can do.

Will the basic plenum spacer do anything for a 2004 6MT?

An absolute YES, as with all non RevUp G's, regardless of tranny type. There are many a '3 and '04 owners, whom have opted to install the 5/16" or 1/2" Motordyne Iso Thermal Plenum Spacer set-up with excellent results.
