Removing dash

Does anyone know the best way to remove the the front dash? I am very reluctant to do anything drastic before consulting my companions, due to my limited knowledge of the innerworkings of cars. I have seen that many of you are quite the modifiers and are very aquainted with the removal and modifications of certain parts of the car. Please help!

Re: Removing dash

How much do you want to remove? I just did a V1 install and ended up removing just about everything so there are absolutely no wires showing.

Re: Removing dash

There is one screw holding in the larger lower part. It's right by the hood release. Afte that's removed you have to feel for the tabs around the edges. After I popped that loose I uplugged the VDC, interior lights, trunk release, & hood release so the panel could be removed completely. The lower piece on the steering column has 4 screws I believe. I also ended up removing the wiper controls so I could run my remote wire down. I've installed quite a few stereos & alarms before and when you're taking apart an interior you just have to work slow and be patient. Especially when it's on a $40k car you've made 1 or 2 payments on. Good luck.
