No logo to add? No care.

Im a member and entitled to my opinion on the matter. I also happen to be a graphic design major. No need to get sand in your panties just because my opinion happens to differ. I don't see people who give comments like "real nice dude" getting harassed for throwing their 2 cents in without a submission.

For future reference, It's called constructive crticism.

Well, I dont think anyone has a problem with constructive criticism but you saying "nothing here is worthy" isnt constuctive. In fact its just plain dumbass criticism. Then revealing that your a "design major" only supports the fact that you have no credible qualification to be judging real artists work, and you are in fact a dumbass.
I also totally disagree with everything you said.
First of all, nowhere in the contest criteria does it say that this logo will replace the current web site logo, nor does it quantify any design parameters other than it has to include the words "G35 Driver". So, "busy" designs are as welcome as simplistic ones. I would also imagine the reason for being vague is to leave the doors wide open for the artists and therefore encourage creativity.
There are plenty of good, creative design submissions here that could easily replace the current one, if that was or is the goal.
As an artist, I have no problem with those who feel the need to critique my work, in fact I welcome opinions. But it definately means more when it comes from those who appreciate the time and talent required to do it.
So, for future reference, durogatory statements with no basis or blatently rude comments meant to ridicule or inflict hurt are not welcome here and will only place those who submitt them in the same catagory as Boro here.
(Of course, thats just MY opinion.)

I admit it was harsh. I never said I wasn't or couldn't be a dick. Never-the-less, it was not my intention to be "derogatory" or "blatantly rude". Like I said, I'm a graphics major myself, so I can fully apprreciate the time/effort/talent/whatever taken. There were just certain things that I felt were lacking in most of the submissions, so I made it known. I also said where I thought they could be improved, but I guess that's not constructive?

Well, first off, these (mine anyway) are just preliminary ideas. One more! This version is all vector (Illustrator) so spot colors are used!

Boro,

Please accept my apology for lashing out. It seemed to me you were just...well as you put it, being a dick.
Its just that I have seen it happen so many times in situations like this where negativity spoils enthusiasm. We were going along so good there and then along comes your post and BAM!, the entries trickle to a stop.
Glad to see ABQ bounce back with another excellent piece!
Aestheticmynd has us reeling with anticipation for this so called Pro Logo, and I am going to take your advice and get to work on some simpler designs. Now, here comes the challange.
Lets see what you got dude.
The best way for you to convey your ideas or opinions is to create something on your own.
You have the capability to do so.
Instead of being a critic, take this opportunity to show off your talent.

........ and the hits keeps rollin in folks .....

Very nice ppl. Peeps with some serious skillz postin up.

I haven't seen it posted or maybe I missed it but what is the winning logo for ? Is this going to be for the website or for the car?

The reason why I ask is that of the submitted logos, some are nice for the site but I wouldn't put it on my whip and visa versa, if you get my drift.

Keep them coming in......

dyenboy - you deleted my favorite submission at the begining of the thread ...... jk
