need help with brake pads...

ok i hate cleaning my rims just like everyone else, but i do not want hawk pads or green stuff pads or what ever else tire rack is selling. i do not need a high performance brake pad, i don't plan on bringing my coupe to leguna seca! i had raybestos quiet stops on my old car and they were noise free(came with shims) and they are dust free, but the only ones i can find say they are for g35 without VDC, i did not know they made g35's without VDC. is there anyone out there with suggesions or info.
thanks

Re: need help with brake pads...

You should check if Raybestos makes pads for the car in the PG Plus line. I've used those pads before (on another vehicle) and they are quiet and produce very little brake dust.

Re: need help with brake pads...

they have them but they are for models that do not have the VDC, which is weird because i thought that was a standard option, i guess i will just wait till i actually need to replace the pads. the pic below is my old car, it is my dad's now. it is a 1996 t-bird, it is about 800 lbs heavier than our coupes. i put the quiet stops on there over a 2 years ago. keep in mind the car has not been washed in at least 1 month.

Your rims are really dirty. Mine don't get as bad, but I am still not happy with the amount of brake dust. I clean them off everyday after I get home. Very easy - just takes 2 minutes.

Just by looking at Antrocks rims you can tell he's an agressive driver...lol..... The more agressive you drive the more dirty the rims get... Especially when taking corner's fast.. or something lol... You probably don't drive the T Bird like you drive the G...

Haven't seen Antrock in the forums in a while...

Re: g35 rim after 3 days...

actually i drove the tbird hard! i had some nice suspension work done to that thing, stiffer stabalizer bars, bilstein hd shocks, eibach springs, agressive chip for the car that was designed by the man that engineered the tranmission for ford. the car chirps second and it is an AT without a shift kit, and the rims were always clean. as you can tell i still love that car, that is why i let my dad have it!
as far as my g i really haven't driven it hard lately, although i do put 50 miles on it a day but it is mostly highway mileage.
