Component speakers
What are some of the speakers you all have installed in the coupe. I don't want to go out and buy the most expensive just for the name or the most exotic. So for those of you who are more thoughtful what are you all jamming to in your beloved coupes.
Hopefully I can come to a consensus. Just so you know I listen to EVERYTHING. I'm not in it to blow my eardrums just great sound and clarity, and a little bass when needed.

Just so you're aware, there is a lot of talk on the forums about Infinity components. If you're interested the best choice to go with using the stock Bose amp are the 60.7cs for the front and 62.7i for the rear. I've also heard that unplugging the two 6x9's in the trunk and leaving them for fill is a good idea to reduce the possibility of rattle/sound loss. Infinity speakers are supposed to be crisp and clear while using 2ohms which is what the bose system uses. They also fit very nicely into the stock location with minor modifications. From what I've researched, if you're on a limited budget, this is the best setup to use.
For bass, I've also seen many G35ers using 4080's box with a JL10w6 and a choice of amps. Some include Rockford, JL, Alpine, Phoenix Gold, etc.
When all is said and done, you should be able to do everything for $1200-1500. If money is an issue you may want to cinsider your own install and cheaper box. Both Infinity components can be purchased on Ebay for around $260, as well as the JL sub and whichever amp you decide to go with for $500-700. Just be weary of internet purchases with regard to fraud and defects. Hope this helps!

The DLS UP6 are capable of handling 150W RMS. So if the stock system doesn't provide close to this rating wouldn't the UP6 components be overkill since you will not be providing enough power for their potential??
The UP6 components are also rated at 4 ohms and it was my understanding that 2 ohm speakers are best if sticking with the stock head unit and Bose amp. Correct?
I am also in the process of researching this to find the best options. So far the Infinity route seems best but I would certainly want to hear them first. My previous impressions of Infinity speakers was not good because they were too "bright" for my liking.
Thanks!
