G35SHAWN- I didn't do the install, so i'm not sure how they managed to put the heat shield on. When i go back next week, ill try to remember to ask how they put it on.

thanks everyone....

I am glad that you guys appreciate what i have done to this car. I am really enjoying this car so far. This car rides great now. Inspires much more confidence in the way i drive now.

I have been noticing some tiny rattling sounds though....do you guys hear any from inside the cabin?

Anyway, i was wondering if you supercharged guys have had any problems so far? I realized the only roots type is from stillen. Every other tuner uses centrifugal superchargers. Anyone with HKS Rotrex supercharger?

Hope everyone has a safe New Year!

I'm considering a Vortech SC myself. I had one on my last car, as well as a custom turbo setup I built. Honestly they both have their plusses and minuses, and there is a lot to be said for the system reliability and ease of install / removal of a centrifugal supercharger kit.

Yes, the engine is broken in, but just barely. It only has 1600 km, i think thats around 900-950 miles. I actually dynoed the car. I'll try to post the graphs, but i need to get a copy first from HKS. They use dynojet. Horsepower numbers are used the same way as the states, but torque numbers they use kgs or kgm, forgot which one, and its funny cuz i don't know hot to read it, but as long as i gained, ill be happy.

Stock hp-220 rwhp
w/mods-248rwhp

stock tq- 28.2 kgs or kgm
w/mods- 31.6

Badtxiscool-The brake guys didnt do that much fabrications with the calipers at all. The only fabrication was with the two-piece rotors. They had to take the cap off of the rotors and customize the cap so the rotors are more inward. They needed to do this cuz the offset of the work wheels (34) couldnt fit. Otherwise, the brakes are pretty simple, jus like any other brake set.

MechEE- I would have spent all the money i did spend on the other mods, to get a turbo or supercharger, but my philosophy with mods is that if your gonna go big (FI), you better have a car prepped to take all that power. With all that extra power, your stock suspension will not be nearly as stable, your brakes will feel tiny, and you need wider wheels and good gripping tires to put all the extra power down to the pavement. But i do see what your saying, i could have gotten a ton of extra power with a turbo.

I have been searching the forums about FI and the different solutions and problems people have faced. I am still in my early stages with this project and I will def do much more research before i do decide to go FI. Thanks for the heads up.

I'm not in a whole lot of agreement there (depends on the car really). The suspension isn't sized for linear acceleration, and the brakes seem perfectly adequate. But good luck with the future mods! My comments were more directed towards things like the headers and exhaust and intake. But still lookin' good!
