Vibration after install MD spacer.

I installed MD 5/16 iso thermal spacer kit a couple of days ago.
I found out car is vibrating a bit today in the morning.
after temperature went up, the engine vibration stoped.
is that a normal thing? or something wrong?

I will check it again after cooling down my car.

one more thing.
what is the deal with coolant valve?
I left it closed because I live in TX.(above 55 degree)

any idea?

Your car should not be vibrating, it is not normal.
A quick and easy way to to check for an intake leak is to, start your car and while it is idling, spray carburator cleaner
or throttle body cleaner around your plenum, or wherever you think you have a leak. If you are sucking air
where you aren't supposed to be your idle will increase as the cleaner is sucked through your leaking area
and into the intake. It works really well. Hope this help!

Tony from MD told me that if it idles smoothly like stock then there is no leak but if the idle is rough then there is a leak... easier check.

One thing you can't skip is correctly torquing all your bolts.
Over or under torquing will cause leaks. Double check?

Does it rattle with the hood open too?

If not.... Then more than likely your plenum is rubbing against the hood or the engine cover(I'm assuming you don't have the engine cover on, but if you do.. it could be this).

Try idling the car with the hood open and manually opening the throttle plate to rev the engine a bit from inside the engine bay.

Hmmm . . . Assuming that all of the plenium bolts are torqued down properly. . . Check to see if the rubber oil filler flap is caught in between the upper and lower plenum collectors. Also, worth checking is the intake tube connections at both the MAF and Throttle Body assemblies.

The coolant control valve left in the "closed" position is fine. That's where it will normally be set at, unless the outside air temps are below 55 degrees.

Good luck! I hope you resolve the issue(s).

^ Thanks andy I will post if I find some.
BTW

1. I had broken engine cover bolt issue, so one screw is missing until I get the new screw from the dealer part department.

2. I used torque wrench and oil cover rubber was taken away when installing.
When I tighten lower plenum, I tight one bolt a bit more so very light scratch on intake manifold collecter cover after that I tighten bolt all over again.

3. car never vibrates in idle, vibrated only once about 2min after first starting and shift to Driving. after temp nail going up, vibration stopped.
Actually, I just gased when driving so no vibration after.
assuming, it happens when car temp is cool.

I think I will have to install all over again if there is no leak.

finally killed the vibration.

For these, I did everything I could, yeah, I did install plenum for 5times to catch vibraition.
Finally I gave up, my back was hurt like grandfa.
I went to dealer and talk to service manager.
He brought the check computer and finally find the cause.

Problem was simple,
#4 cylinder plug was unplugged while Im installing coolant valve.

BTW
Thanks to the vibration issue, I studied alot about intake and plenum..
almost memorized factory manual tho...

Thanks for the information guys.

Glad to hear your problem is resolved. I'll bet your back is sore after 5 installs.
