The first one I saw was Diamond Graphite and fell in love. Then my dealer played a dirty trick and got in every possible color to chose from. The black and pearl are awesome looking! The desert plat looked way better in person than it did in the pics I'd seen. All the other colors looked great as well. After spending hours walking from one car to the other I decided I would be happy with any of them and bought the diamond graphite. I love how it does not show dirt but I hate how I can't get the shine like a black when I wax it. Will I always second guess myself about the color I picked, yep. Do I love the color of my current G, YEP!

im getting my coupe hopefully in a couple months.. havent ordered or anything yet.. odds are im gonna hav to find somethign on the lot that i want.. but i dont know whether i want black or white.. iv seen both in person and theyr both great.. either way im gonna want to wash it every other day but i dunno... black or white..black or white?

I'm Very happy with my Decision of DG. I've had 3 Silver cars in the past. 2 white 1 black All have their Good and Bad. Black is nice But very hard to keep clean. This even with it garaged and Parked in a Parking structure at work. I got tired of the Constant Dusting and wiping and washing and waxing. Besides A Black car in Sunny So Cal is Too Hot, Especially with my Semi Monthly Jaunts to Las Vegas. Silver Is the Best Color at night, It catches All the light and looks very classy, However in the Day it gets "Lost". Hides Dirt very well though. So does white, However with the White pearl on the G-35 Some have been complaining about Yellowing or weird spots on the paint, Also The Metal painted parts and the Plastic painted parts look like a Diffrent shade. That's why I choose DG It's a even medium between Black & Silver. However if I could have a custom color I would want Daytona Blue from the 350z or A bright Yellow. Well Good Luck I'm sure you'll be happy the choice you make.

I have DG but sometimes I see white and it looks so good.

 

When I went and looked at the G35 C, one of the dealerships had all the colors lined up except the blue. I was originally wanting diamond graphite, because it would hide dirt well while at the same time look good. (I have a black car today. Never again...) After roaming this board for a while I was starting to have doubts though... seems like DG is the most popular color out there, and after looking at coupes with all the different colors beside eachother at the dealership, I really liked the desert platinum as well. When I ended up purchasing from a different dealer that only had the DG with willow interior, but had a DP with graphite interior, it made my decision fairly easy. I went with the desert platinum and reading this thread makes me more sure that i made the right decision - the desert platinum has been mentioned a total of what? Once in this thread? It seems to be more exclusive than the DG and still looks great and hides dirt well. The person that said it looks different in photos than it does when you see it in the flesh is right. It actually seems to change color slightly in different lighting.

Maybe I will second guess my decision later on after having had the car for a while, from what I'm reading here it seems quite likely, but for now I am happy with my choice.

I am very happy with DG. I always wanted a dark grey car (I was dreaming about the 530, which has a great dark grey color, until the G came along), and DG is an awesome grey color. I actually wish it was a bit darker, like the dark grey on the RX330 (it looks like black at night), but DG is great. Although, the only negative is the shine of it during cloudy weather. It looks a bit flat during cloudy days, but I would think many other colors look the same, with the exception of maybe the red. The other good thing about DG is you can't see swirl marks or water spots (although I don't have either of those now). I try to apply Z6 (From Zaino), after every other wash, and the car looks absolutely stunning! DG all the way.

I Have Diamond Graphite as Well, and Agree it's a Great Color and Easy to Keep Clean. Speaking of Ease though, isn't it an Awful Lot Of Trouble to Capitalize so many Words like this? Maybe it's Just A Reaction to Some People Who Never Capitalize Anything, but after A Few Minutes of Typing like this my Shift Key Finger is Already Beginning to get Tired. Please Explain... : )

 

Are there any other colors than black for a car of this capability?

Seriously...if they had offered it in 'Vette Millenium Yellow, that would have been my first choice...but alas, black it is.

Not having the luxury of driving city streets/Interstates/freeways (living in the sticks as I do) it's impossible to keep up to my cleanliness standards, so washing is a thrice weekly occurrence...and since it's running about 100 deg F a day here, I cuss a lot about owning a black car.

My previous 3 cars were black. I just got tired with the love/hate relationship and went with a different color this time. I've never had a red car before, so now I do with the G. I love the DG also, but I already own a car with a similar color.

Owned a black car, will never do that again....always hot (in California), always dusty, rain on random days. Black is great...but like everyone said, it's a bitch to take care of, I'll pass on black.

Like accuview, the first G35c I saw was Caribbean Blue, thats how I fell in love with this car, but before I ordered I looked at every other color and nothing dropped my jaw like CB. It changes colors from blue to green to purple at different lights and angles, it's beautiful, in my opinion the best factory color ever created (well, one of the best). I've never owned a car with such a vibrant color, and I love it. No regrets.

Sometimes i look at my Ivory pearl and think man i wish would have bought the ivory pearl and then i think oh yes i did. Thankgoodness. Colors all depend on the person buying the car. You choose Desert platnium fo ra reason try to remember why you bought that color or what instigated you to buy the color and you will find harmony within the choices. I do it all the time and come to a rational conclusion. works really! I look at other colors and say hey they look good and think to myself why didn't i get the other color and just remember the reasons of why i picked ivory pearl. It's all in the mind find different way to trick your self if your still unhappy. and am not able to react to emtional discharge of Desert Platnium
